ARTIST Bio
Jon Zager is an American singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist whose music blends heartfelt storytelling with the rich sounds of Americana. Influenced by blues, country, southern rock, and ‘90s rock, his style is both honest and recognizable. With raw vocals and honest songwriting, his songs are authentic and fresh.
Zager brought his artistry to new heights with the release of his EP Hello Eyes, recorded in the heart of Nashville at the Sony Tree Studios on Music Row. The project was produced by longtime Nashville songwriter, producer and touring musician Matt Nolen. Nolen assembled a powerhouse lineup of Nashville talent for the project, including ACM Award winners Tim Galloway (guitar), Craig Young (bass), and Justin Schipper (pedal steel), who brought rich musical depth and texture to Zager’s acoustic-driven writing and sound.
Zager continues to explore new sonic ground through ongoing collaborations with Nolen. His recent single “All the Way to Austin” captures the energy of modern country rock, while “Neon Blue” dives into groove inspired blues territory—showcasing his growing range as both a writer and performer. He also expands into adult contemporary pop with the upcoming ballad “Like You Do,” further highlighting his versatility. With more genre-blending releases on the horizon, Zager is steadily crafting a catalog that pays homage to his influences while forging a voice uniquely his own.
